Pilates

Pilates is a series of mindful exercises designed to improve strength, balance coordination, proprioception and flexibility.  People of all fitness levels can benefit from Pilates. What sets Pilates apart from other types of movement is the quality of the exercise  with a focus on proper body alignment versus quantity.
Using gravity, breath and resistance, Pilates uses whole body movement targeting specific muscle groups to re-educate movement patterns and rebalance the underlying muscular and structural systems in the body.
“If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.” – Joseph Pilates
